Short Term Accommodation

For young adults, a night away from home provides a vital opportunity to work towards independence or the next step in their living arrangement.

Within St Anthony’s Family Care Village in Croydon, there are four purpose-built houses specifically for Short Term Accommodation.

As young adults leave their formal school environment and transition into adulthood and the next chapter in their lives, taking a break from their home structure can play a vital role and short term accommodation is the perfect way to explore different options.

Each property offers a minimum of two bedrooms and enables young adults to participate in various opportunities to further develop a broad range of skill areas.

Young adults may choose to participate in one night, or several nights away from home, and they can either be alone with their Support Worker focusing on individual goals or they may choose to spend this time with peers and have a more social focus.

Community access visits can be included to further extend the experience.

There are many benefits to a night away from home, which include:

The houses are beautifully constructed with new bathrooms, kitchens, furniture and well stocked with resources. Each property has access to a private sun filled backyard.

The properties are fully secure with fob access to doors, fire sprinkler systems and back to base alarm monitoring.

Each stay at St Anthony’s Family Care Village is personally designed by a FORGE Coordinator to ensure that a young adults individual needs are met and personal goals are incorporated into the program.

Pick up and drop off service can be provided as required and all meals are included.
