Day Program

The FORGE Adult day program is specifically designed for young adults aged up to 25 years of age.

At FORGE, we understand that after many years of routine and structure, leaving school can be a time that is both exciting and challenging. It is for this reason that we have developed a program which focuses on those first few years after school ends.

For many young adults, the period after leaving school requires some exploration to determine the most ideal setting for moving forward. With this in mind, the FORGE Adult day program offers a broad and varied program which encourage experimentation whilst at the same time seeking to develop individual goals.

The FORGE Adult day program operates from ‘Jean & Thally’s Activity Centre’ which has been purpose built. The centre offers participants access to a full kitchen, quite space, TV area, outdoor space and garden.

The program is designed to operate in 10 week blocks and focuses on:

  • Learning new skills
  • Developing independence and self-help skills
  • Making friends an connections within the community
  • Engaging with the community through various outings

Recognising the diversity of the inner west, the program is developed to ensure inclusion of all people and to promote and encourage all cultures.
